HOD Management

Administrative tools for Head of Departments to manage staff and students.

Sidebar Navigation

The HOD sidebar contains four links:

  • Home — Dashboard overview with department statistics.
  • Student Management — Approve students, manage detain/drop, view summary, and enrollment report (tabbed page).
  • Staff Management — Add staff, allocate/deallocate students to verifiers, and view staff summary (tabbed page).
  • Students Report — Search students with pagination, bulk mark detain/drop/delete.

Staff Management

A unified page with four tabs. Access it from the Staff Management link in the sidebar.

Tab 1: Staff Summary

The default tab. Shows quick stat cards (staff count, allocated students, approved, pending) and a performance table for each staff member with their activity counts. Staff with zero allocated students show a Remove Staff Login button.

Tab 2: Add Staff

Create a new faculty account for your department:

  1. Fill in First Name, Last Name, Email (must be @scet.ac.in), Password, and Mobile Number.
  2. Click Create Staff Account.
  3. The new staff member can immediately log in.

Tab 3: Allocate

Assign unallocated students to a staff verifier:

  1. Select a Staff member from the dropdown.
  2. Optionally filter by Batch.
  3. Use checkboxes to select students (or select all), then click Allocate Selected.

Tab 4: Deallocate

Remove students from their current verifier:

  1. Filter by Staff or Batch.
  2. Select students and click Deallocate Selected.

Student Management

A unified page with four tabs. Access it from the Student Management link in the sidebar.

Tab 1: Approve Students

Review and approve new student registrations:

  1. You will see all students with pending status in your department. The tab badge shows the count.
  2. Select a batch to assign the student to — the verify button appears only after a batch is selected.
  3. Click the green Verify icon to approve, or the red Reject icon to remove the student.

Tab 2: Unmark Detain/Drop

Restore detained or dropped students:

  1. You will see all students marked as Detain or Drop. The tab badge shows the count.
  2. Select a batch to reassign the student to, then click Unmark.
  3. The student's status will be restored to verified.

Tab 3: Student Summary

View and export student performance data:

  • Filter by Batch, Staff Verifier, or Points Range (<50, 50-74, 75-99, 100+).
  • Passed-out batches are labeled (Passed Out) in the dropdown and students from those batches show a purple Passed Out badge.
  • Summary cards show total students and per-range breakdowns.
  • Click Export to Excel to download filtered data as a spreadsheet.

Tab 4: Enrollment Report

Compare an enrollment list against registered students to find gaps:

  1. Select a batch from the dropdown. The system shows how many students are currently registered in that batch.
  2. Upload an Excel file (.xlsx / .xls) with columns for Enrollment No and Student Name. A Download sample format link is available.
  3. The system compares the uploaded list against registered students and shows: Registered, Not Registered, and Extra (in system but not in Excel).
  4. Click Export Gap Report to download the comparison results.

Students Report

A standalone page with search, pagination, and bulk actions. Access it from the Students Report link in the sidebar.

  • Search students by name, email, enrollment number, batch, or verifier.
  • View points, batch, and verifier info for each student.
  • Per-student actions: Edit, Delete, Mark Detain/Drop, Unlock Activity.
  • Bulk actions: Select multiple students with checkboxes, then Mark Detain, Mark Drop, or Delete in bulk.
